Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Rattitude Care (the "App", formerly Rattitude), developed by Oleksii Labs ("we", "us", "our"), handles your information on iOS and Android. We are the data controller for the information described here. If anything is unclear, contact us at oleksii.labs@gmail.com.
The short version: your rats' profiles, weights, notes and medication reminders are backed up to your account, so they come back when you reinstall the App or change phones. Your gallery photos stay on your device. We keep only what we need to sign you in, back up your pets' data and your conversations with Bulochka, run subscriptions and ads, and fix crashes. We do not sell your personal information.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Your account
- Sign in with Google — we receive your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account identifier through Firebase Authentication.
- Sign in with Apple (iOS) — we receive an Apple account identifier and, only if you choose to share them the first time you sign in, your name and email. If you pick "Hide My Email", we only ever see Apple's private relay address.
- Guest mode (iOS) — if you continue without an account, Firebase creates an anonymous identifier for this device. It is not linked to your name or email. A guest account cannot be used on another device, and its data may not be recoverable if you delete the App or lose your device. You can link it to Google or Apple later from your profile, which keeps your existing data.
1.2 Your pets' data — on your device, backed up to your account
Rat profiles, groups, weights, notes, medication reminders and dose history, introductions between rats, your App settings (language, weight unit and sort order) and your Rat Coin balance are stored on your device and backed up to Google Cloud Firestore under your account identifier. If a rat has a custom avatar photo, a small copy of that photo is backed up with it. When you sign in to the same account after reinstalling the App or on a new device, this data is restored.
Gallery photos are not uploaded. They stay in the App's private storage on your device, and uninstalling the App deletes them.
Camera access is used only when you choose to take a photo. Photos you pick from your library are selected through the system photo picker, so the App never gets access to the rest of your library.
1.3 Conversations with Bulochka (AI assistant)
- Processing: the messages you type — and, when you request a weight analysis, that rat's name, sex, date of birth, weight history and current medication names — are sent to Google's Gemini models through Firebase AI Logic to generate a reply.
- Sync: your conversation history is stored in Google Cloud Firestore under your account identifier, so it is available again after reinstalling or on another device signed in to the same account.
- Retention: a conversation you have not used for 30 days is deleted from your device and marked deleted in the cloud the next time you open the App. You can delete conversations at any time in the App.
- Bulochka is an AI and can make mistakes. Her answers are general guidance, not veterinary advice.
1.4 Information collected automatically
- App usage (Firebase Analytics): events such as adding or removing a rat and earning or spending Rat Coins, device model, OS version, app version and approximate country. These are linked to your account identifier.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): crash logs, device and OS details. Not linked to your account.
- Security (Firebase App Check): a token that proves requests come from the genuine App.
- Remote Config: the App downloads settings (for example, prices in Rat Coins) from Firebase; this involves a device installation identifier.
- Advertising (Google AdMob): see section 3.3.
1.5 Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details. RevenueCat receives your account identifier, purchase history and subscription status so you get the premium features you paid for.
1.6 Support emails
If you email us — including by using "Send feedback" or "Report this answer" in the App — we receive your email address, your message, and the details the App pre-fills (app version, OS version, device model, language, and for reports the text of the reported answer).

3. Third-party services
3.1 Google Firebase
Authentication, Firestore (backup of your pets' data and conversation sync), AI Logic (Gemini), Analytics, Crashlytics, App Check and Remote Config. Firebase privacy and security · Google Privacy Policy
3.2 RevenueCat
Subscription management. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
3.3 Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform
The App shows banner ads and optional rewarded ads (watching one earns Rat Coins). Subscribers see no ads. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location, device information and ad interactions.
- iOS: your advertising identifier (IDFA) is used only if you allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Everything in the App works the same whether you allow it or not.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: we ask for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in the App under Profile → Ad privacy choices.

4. Tracking and sale of data
On iOS, we only use your advertising identifier after you allow tracking. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising except through AdMob as described above, which you can switch off.
5. Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Camera | Taking a photo of your rat for its avatar or gallery. Asked only when you tap the camera. |
| Notifications | Local medication reminders. Asked when you create your first reminder. |
| Tracking (iOS) | Personalised ads, only if you allow it. |
| Internet / network state | Sign-in, Bulochka, backup and sync, ads and subscriptions. |
6. Where data is stored and how long we keep it
- Pet data (including avatar photos): on your device and in the cloud backup, until you delete it or delete your account. Something you delete in the App is removed from the backup the next time the App syncs.
- Gallery photos: on your device only, until you delete them, delete your account, or uninstall the App.
- Account data: until you delete your account.
- Conversations: up to 30 days after you last used a conversation (see 1.3), or until you delete it or your account.
- Analytics: up to 14 months (Firebase Analytics retention). Crash reports: up to 90 days.
- Support emails: as long as needed to handle your request.
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the EEA or UK, they rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Data in transit is encrypted with TLS.
7. Deleting your account and data
In the App, go to Profile → Delete Account. This permanently deletes, on your device, all rats, groups, notes, photos, weights, medication reminders and conversations; deletes your conversation history and the backup of your pets' data from our cloud storage; unlinks your subscription record; and deletes your account. This cannot be undone. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings.
If you can no longer access the App, email oleksii.labs@gmail.com from the address linked to your account and we will delete your data within 30 days. See also our Delete Account page.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, Switzerland or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, email us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
9. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the App.
